FULWELL METHODIST CHURCH
OUR MINISTRIES
At Fulwell it is our aim to provide a safe environment for all who choose to explore worship and Praise. We have a number of people who are involved in the day to day ministry of the church with a variety of roles and responsibilities
prayer
Prayer is a central part of our life at Fulwell, it is important for reconnecting us with God and forms the basis of all that we do within the life of the church.
Former Deaconess Edna Hornsby, runs a fortnightly prayer meeting on a Wednesday morning and we are currently exploring the possibility of at least one subsequent prayer meeting a fortnight on an evening to enable all to access this ministry.
elders / seniors
We have a variety of activities aimed at the spiritual development of those within our community who are elderly not least our Monday afternoon Sisterhood meeting, at which new members are always welcome. Doris Greenfield is the contact person and her details can be obtained by contacting Gareth on 0191 548 1688
sunday club
Sunday club is our young persons group, meeting on a Sunday morning with a small group of dedicated leaders all of whom have been DBS checked. Here we provide a safe environment for young people to explore their faith in a fun and exciting way. The ages currently range from 5 to 13 but all ages can be catered for.
youth
Chris Stephens heads up a fortnightly devotional youth group meeting at Silksworth church for all young people from year 6 in school upwards. This group meet for bible study, games and discussions, with regular social meetings as well.

music
The music at the church is a mix of traditional and modern with Gareth leading a small worship band on the occasions he is preaching here. This band consists of Drums, Keyboard and Guitar. At other times worship is led by the organ.
If you are a musician and would like to help us by playing an instrument on a regular basis within our worship group we would be very pleased to hear from you. Contact Gareth on 0191 548 1688
community service
We are always on the look out for community projects to support, we give regularly to the foodbank and encourage those groups that meet in our premises to do the same.
If you are a group that thinks the church could help you in anyway, please contact Gareth on 0191 548 1688
